SFG “New Talent & New Work”——The Animation Film A Story about Fire,produced by Shanghai Film Group & Shanghai Animation Film Studio has been officially selected by the “Animation Oscar”——Annecy International Animation Film Festival WIP Section.
影片将于2024年6月9日至6月15日动画节举办期间，面向国际知名影业公司、制片人、发行人等业内专家举行在全球视野下的首次路演！
The film will be pitched to internationally renowned studios, producers, distributors and other industry experts during the Festival, which will take place from June 9 to June 15, 2024.
法国昂西国际动画节（Annecy International Animation Film Festival）由戛纳国际电影节官方单元的“国际动画日”于1960年迁出创立而成，是目前世界上规模最大、水准最高、历史最悠久、动画界人士参与最多的专业国际动画节之一，在国际上享有“动画界奥斯卡”“动画界戛纳”的美誉，堪称全球动画产业的风向标。其竞赛单元的动画长片、动画短片、电视动画等奖项为世界动画界的无上荣耀，且拥有MIFA——全球性的大型专业动画交易市场。上美影出品的经典动画，历史上曾多次在该动画节收获荣誉。
Annecy International Animation Film Festival, formerly the “International Animation Day” of Cannes International Film Festival, was established in 1960. It is one of the most renowned international animation festivals, with the international reputation of “Animation Oscar” and “Animation Cannes”. It represents trend of the global animation industry. The awards in its competition section, including those for feature films, shorts films, and TV series, are regarded as the highest honors in the animation world. The Annecy International Animation Film Market (MIFA) is the largest professional animation trading market. The classic animations produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio have been honored multiple times at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

法国昂西国际动画节的WIP（work in progress 制作中项目）单元旨在评选全球当年度最优秀、最能代表各国顶尖动画水准的制作中项目，以“昂西”首创的路演形式进行全球推介。该单元在世界范围内负有盛名，全球路演将被至少80家海外媒体的宣传报道，入选项目在制作、合拍、发行等方面都将获得国际动画界的目光聚焦。Disney、Sony、Dreamworks、Cartoon Networks等大型国际制片公司的作品，以及众多具有艺术高度的影片都是经由该单元走进行业和观众视野，动画人熟悉的《红海龟》《至爱梵高》《蜘蛛侠：平行宇宙》《犬王》《狼行者》等优秀动画作品，都入选过“昂西WIP”，众多入选作品都在此后斩获国际大奖或是在全球发行推广。
The WIP (Work in Progress) section of the Annecy International Animation Festival selects the world's most outstanding work-in-progress projects of the current year that best represent the top animation standards of various countries, and promotes them globally during the festival. The world-renowned section will be publicized by over 80 international media outlets, and the selected projects will gain the attention of the international animation industry in terms of production, co-production, and distribution. The works produced by major international studios such as Disney, Sony, Dreamworks, Cartoon Networks, as well as many famous animation films are promoted through this section. Works including “The Red Turtle”, “Loving Vincent”, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, “Inu-Oh”, and “Wolfwalkers” have been officially selected by the WIP section, and many of them have won international awards or achieved global distribution later.

动画电影《燃比娃》讲述了远古时代一只人类部落长大的猴子追寻母亲阿勿巴吉的脚步前往神山寻找“温暖”的秘密，历经千险后从“恐惧之兽”嘴里夺得了火种，全身着火褪去毛发终涅槃成人的故事。他没有与生俱来的超能力，却在一个个挑战中，战胜了对未知的恐惧，最终收获了成长。
A Story about Fire tells the story of a monkey who grew up in a human tribe during ancient times. He followed the footsteps of his mother, Awubaji, and went to the sacred mountain to look for the secret of “warmth”. After going through hardships, he took the fire from the mouth of the “Beast of Fear”, and finally beacme a human. He was not born with superpowers, but he overcame the fear of the unknown and grew up.
作为一部风格独特的二维动画，《燃比娃》以中国传统绘画为载体，采用水墨画的笔触，色彩大胆犀利，同时运用多种实验动画技法，中西融合，为世界银幕带来了兼具传统东方韵味和现代艺术审美的夺目光影，是上美影实践“中国动画学派”的初心之作。
As a 2D animation with unique style, A Story about Fire uses traditional Chinese painting as a carrier, using ink brushstrokes, and bold and sharp colors. At the same time, the film applies a variety of experimental animation techniques. It is a comboination of the eastern and western aesthetic, binging the audience impressive images that combines both the traditional oriental flavors and the aesthetics of modern art. This is a movie that implements SAFS’s original heart of “Chinese School of Animation”.
作为上影集团“新人新作计划”的动画项目，《燃比娃》在2021年项目开发初期，作为唯一的动画电影项目入选了FIRST青年影展电影市场·年度电影计划，并获“福莱魔石影业石破天惊计划”现金奖及“画林映像调色大奖”。2022年，影片还获得了上海文化发展基金会上海市重大文艺创作项目制作资助。
As the animation project of Shanghai Film Group's “New Talent and New Works Program”, A Story about Fire was selected as the only animation film project in 2021 FIRST International Film Festival - Movie of the Year Program, and was awarded the cash prize of the “Flying Stone Pictures Stone Breaking Program”, and “Image Forestt Color Grading Prize”. In 2022,the film was also awarded the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation's Shanghai Major Literary and Artistic Creation Project Production Grant.
